Ethical dilemma

I have resigned from my current company which is fully remote. They have put me on the bench while I serve notice period and I have nothing to do till my Last Working Day in September.

I have an offer from a company which is again fully remote. Should I join this new company from August while serving the notice period with the current company?

In short, salaries from two companies for the month of August.

Would there be any short term or long term complications? Tax, PF or anything else?

But why would you want to do that? Why not take a break, relax during the bench tike. Have a vacation!

Should you really really want to work, make sure to mention it to your new org, might cause complications and you could be let go

UAN number se kaise pakda jayega bhai? The new company cannot see my EPFO account. Any idea?

Because you’d have to give them your UAN number, Full-and-final-settlement letter when you join a new one. If you get caught working in two companies at the same time due to PF credit in two different accounts linked to your UAN number, you can get kicked out by the newer company.

Don't do that - if new company agrees to what you are saying then it is a red flag to be honest

I would strongly suggest no. Chill until September and join the new company when you have closed everything with the old.
