Everybody hates HR. What is the cheapest trick that HR has played with you or in your workplace?

HRs are famous for playing cheap tricks with company employees while pretending to act as their allies. HRs are the real snakes. Would be great to hear about any anecdotes or experiences that the members can share.

this HR at my place had handed me a PIP, oh man the attitude- don't even begin to ask- he would talk as if he owned the world. my manager was no less, would peddle lies all throughout.

and when I confronted the HR about the personal harassment I was facing, he simply did not even forward the message to my manager for course correction. NO ACTION AT ALL.
