Feeling stuck and undervalued at Infosys - 3+ years, minimal growth (Lateral Entry)

Hey everyone,

I've been with Infosys for over three years now, and honestly, I'm feeling incredibly disheartened. As a lateral entry, I specifically chose Infosys hoping to build a long-term career here. I've consistently worked hard and exceeded expectations (at least I thought so!), but my last salary hike was a around ₹1500. Yes, you read that right. After three years of loyalty and dedication, and after joining as a lateral hire with the hopes of growth, and after significantly increasing my skillset and gaining valuable experience, that's all I have to show for it.

It's not just about the money, though that's a significant part of it. What's more frustrating is the lack of growth opportunities. My responsibilities have increased, and my role has technically changed a few times, but the salary has remained stagnant. It feels like no matter how much effort I put in, or how many new skills I acquire (including certifications!), I'm not getting anywhere. I've really tried to stay in a single company and put down roots, but it feels like that effort isn't being reciprocated.

To add insult to injury, I've noticed a concerning trend of office politics and favoritism. It seems like promotions and plum assignments are often handed out based on who you know, not what you've achieved. This makes it incredibly demotivating for those of us who are genuinely trying to contribute and grow within the company.

I'm sharing this because I know I'm not alone. Are others facing similar challenges, especially those who joined laterally? Have you found ways to navigate this kind of environment? I'm starting to question whether staying with Infosys is the right move for my career. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. I think it's important we talk openly about these issues so we can all make informed decisions about our careers.

True worked late nights, weekends, consistently going the extra mile as laternal...only to see salary increases and promotions seemingly based on favoritism rather than performance. I never got 4 or 5 i always get 3/5 rest of the favoritism( same region ppl , same language ppl) who does not do anything more than myself gets 4 or 5 and promotions , hikes and the rest... so much disappointing, stressed and incredibly demotivating

I think everybody in infy going through the same and those who are not, are going through so called pip. I dont know whats more bad having a project or pip because both are as worst to go through and forget about the hikes and promotions you wont even get the appreciation or sympathy for work so hard!!
