Feels like giving up, own a company but clients are a pain in the back.

I own a company, we provide softwares to schools and colleges. We have a good product and good number of schools and colleges. But the biggest issue is the teachers, professor and institute staff. Biggest pain in the back. Not interested to be part of any change. Don't take training sessions seriously. Keeps complaining about everything not because it's not working it's hard to understand, they do it because they just don't want manual things to change. When we tell them there is a download button click on it to download the excel, they write it in the dairy with download icon drown next to it. How are these guys are so backward in Technology. 100s of professor calls everyday asking stupid questions. It is very hard to keep all the staff happy. They act like they know everything and they are always right. Few are happy and few keep complaining to their management. Keep calling asking for stupid changes which does not even make sense and wants everything in a day. They think it's that easy for us but they themselves cant even create a simple account. Feel very frustrated. We have money, we have numbers, we have good employees but these teachers, professors and staff makes our live miserable, Making us feel to give up.

Do you think that their feedback is completely useless?
Maybe this is an opportunity to see if you can make their user experience better.
Since it's older people using your product you could try and integrate their feedback to try and reduce what they perceive as complexity.

We do make changes that are relevant but problem occurs when one ask the button on right because she likes it there and someone else ask it to place on the left side. Everyone has different suggestions which contradics with other. Nobody tries to understand. Which makes things worst.

Many of these professors don't have much work to do so they do this as timepass. They play with the feelings of our staff. Because the changes they wants us to literally don't make sense. One professor called and complained about our app login doesn't work and escalated to management and threatened to stop using our product. He was checking otp in other mail which he didn't even use while creating an account. How would he recieve the otp their. We tried to explain this to management but the guy had influence. So we lost the client out year of hardwork was waisted.

I work in an edtech as well and can understand your pain. There are better schools you can look to serve or create chatbots which guide the professors/teachers step by step and handle their bullshit.

We have created video tutorials for every thing separate for students, parents and staff. But staff don't care enough to see the small videos. One professor did not complete her work whole day she was doing timepass and when dean asked her about it she said the software is not working/loading. We checked the logs she didn't even log in nor tried to login that day. This is just one thing. All she had to do is login and download fees related reports and give it to directors of the institute. When we told this to dean that professor and some of her staff called other institutes to complain about us which was in pipeline. Tell me how do one do business in India with such unethical people.

Got it. So the main problem is that they also put the blame on u guys for their laziness. U can simply design a tool for dean/heads that monitors every teacher activity and shows that a teacher is not working all day, then watch how the tables turn. When people in India know someone's watching to hold them accountable results are miraculous

Seems like you are trying to do everything yourself. Do hire someone to help you with this who specialises in these situations. This will pretty much help with this stress and you can focus on other things.

We have a team, our app is used by students as well. They use it properly. The problem is the staff, 100 teachers have 100 different opinions. And they think we are very important and what we asked u to do u have to do. And we do it but most of the things doesn't even makes sense and they want everything in next hr or a day.

In that case, you can appoint a point of contact per school/college who can take care of this and you only need to deal with these pocs.

Easier said than done. I have connected with many rivals they also go thr the same shit. It's just that now they are well established loosing few clients won't affect then much.

Would love to connect. Serving an equally technologically challenged demographic. Could actually help you with some pointers.

Reality of neoG bootcamp

The camp in my opinion is not what it claims to be. People who are doing well in the camp are the ones who took matters in their own hand and started learning on their own.

Pros:
