Ghosted by recruiter !!

Attended an interview for a startup where they said all was okay and agreed to rollout the offer letter and last minute told hiring freeze. This is for an entry level role.

Cannot name the company as I can get identified. Fintech startup. Their payscales in glassdoor were showing high base for entry level roles in Business Operations.

How do we make sure that recruiter does not ghost us . What are the strategies we can use to get the offer. These days, every recruiter in first call itself asking about salary expectations.

Standard practice in India. Best you can do is name&shame on LinkedIn, or call it hard luck and move on

“Strategies we can use to get the offer”

Wat?

Rule #1 in corporate - Any verbal communication isn’t a guarantee of anything.

Rule #2 in corporate - Don’t waste time, move on fast.

Never talk to the recruiter, always talk to the hiring manager or CEO. Reach out to them directly and say you're still very interested and would love to be considered for the role.

This is very common The interview goes well, the interviewer says you are a very good candidate, good projects and internships. Answered every other question. Gets ghosted by HR. They don't even bother to send a rejection email. When you call then they don't pick or block you. Unprofessional behaviour

Still not ghosting. Could be lying or change in company plans. Ghosting is waaaaay worse.

Drop in a polite message to the interviewer? Thank them for the time, say you thought it went well but haven't heard back from HR. And if they could give some inputs on your interview? Makes it a subtle and gentle push. The interviewer is more likely to want to fill a vacancy vis a vis HR.

Getting ghosted by recruiters

In the past couple of months I have given multiple interviews where the interviewer said that they are good to go for the next round as the interview went well but the recruiter keeps ghosting. I am not sure where I am going wrong?
