Folks - Recently got interviewed at Google for TPM (L5). 4/5 on-site rounds were Hire/Strong hire and 1 was not up to mark (interviewer still gave Hire but on L4). After 3 weeks recruiter reached out and informed that they can either offer L4 (way less than my YOE - 15 years) OR I can wait for another L5 opening and give an additional interview. Problem is that with L4 they can barely match by current CTC and waiting for L5 might be too long (recruiter informed today that she will be able to position for me any job opening only post Jan’25 as there are none right now). My question is should I go and ask for L4 since Google brand value trumps all OR should I wait for L5 (which might take 2-3 months or recruiter might drop the ball altogether)?
