Having self doubts

"I recently joined a startup a few days ago, but now I'm feeling very underconfident. This is my first internship, and I feel like I don't know anything. I'm not able to follow anything, and I can't even set up and run things perfectly. I'm just lost. I sit on my chair from morning to evening, even at night, but nothing productive is coming out. The task which is given to me, I'm only able to do it halfway or can't even start.

It is ok. Just try your best and communicate if you are having issues. Interns are expected to know nothing. I have seen senior guys failing to do simple tasks so you are in a way better spot than them.

Did you expect to know everything before joining? Maybe this is the point of the internship, it gives you the platform to make mistakes and learn. Ask for help, it’s okay, we can’t know everything, keep the learning mindset on. Perhaps now is not the time to judge and be too critical of yourself. There will come a time for that, it’s called appraisal 😂 It’s only been a few days, wear the right mindset and you will be fine.

It's okay, dude! This is the story of my first "job" literally and one of my coworkers told me "Don't worry, Jade, we don't know what we're doing either"

It's been a year and a half since then, I've been laid off, working a much better profile now, and I still feel somewhat the same! 😂😂 Sometimes I have to mentally shake myself and tell myself "Hey, I DO know this, it's okay!"
