What is HCL's designation hierarchy?
So I'm trying to figure out HCL's designation hierarchy and I'm a bit lost. Can someone explain the difference between E2 and E3 bands? Like, is a senior tech lead more technical or management-focused? Thanks.
Hi, Can anyone share the hierarchy in HCL? What are the positions in their senior management and what are the perks of being senior?
First of all let me clear this, there are no perks of being senior, you will have more answerability, you will face more pressure, you will have more responsibilities. Yes, it is true that in senior positions you will get more money and employee benefits but it is not easy. Coming to your other question, the HCL hierarchy is in 9 levels, from E0 to E9. E0 is for freshers and E5 above is for managerial positions.
As far as I know, the HCL hierarchy is like divided in 9 levels. Level 0 is for freshers; then, I think level 3 is for technical managers and project managers. Then, the group managers are on level 4 I think. Above this there are senior managers, I am not sure, though.
I don’t know about HCL hierarchy. Anyway, there’s not much growth opportunities here as far as I checked on Glassdoor. I mean sure it has age-old reputation, but as fast as other tech companies are growing, HCL really needs to step up its game.
HCL hierarchy goes like this. For employees it is E0 to E9. Ye employee bands hai, executive ke liye they have E0 to E3. This is the senior management level. Senior management level roles are complex but have greater perks, which is obvious. I mean we all know “with great power comes great responsibility”. Toh ye kuch waisa hi hai.

Everyone keeps appreciating HCL as a good company for its employees. Can someone tell me the HCL employee benefits? Do they have annual bonuses, appraisals, insurance, paternity leaves, etc.?
Hey guys, What would you prefer HCL or Wipro as a 10+ years of experienced employee in terms of benefits/ appraisal/ joining bonus etc,.
