I heard HCL has announced a 7% hike for October 2024. Is it good? Are the employees happy with their raise?

A friend of mine is working in HCL and he told be that the hike would be in effect from October. He said that the company is offering a 7% raise as per industry standards. He thinks it is good since many companies put the appraisal on hold for over a year now. However, he also mentioned some of his coworkers are having a tough time with this increment process. Many are saying that the process is completed and actually they will get a 2-3% hike only.

October HCL hike 2024 was announced. The 7% raise surely meets industry standards and I’m happy to hear it, as many other companies have stopped increments for two years now. Some of the companies are even laying off employees. So, in a crisis situation like this where having job security and salary increases seem far-fetched, at least I’m hopeful that I’d get some increment here.

Can’t see any hike in salary after October.

It is not 7 % hike, it’s actually 7% average so if your tem has 20 members some one will get 0% some will get 2-6% some will get 10% average will be 7% now not sure how much you’ll be getting. I heard that my manger was talking about this with his manger and saying that the budget was so low that i had to send 0% for most of the employees and the person who is earning very less will surely get 10% others will get 0-3,3-7,7-9 acc to their salaries.

HCL hike 2024 of 7% announced in October has received mixed responses from employees. While some see it as acceptable given market trends and rising costs, others feel it doesn’t fully reflect their workload and the increased cost of living. Though fewer employees are reportedly looking for work somewhere, mid- and senior-level staff seem more satisfied with the raise. Overall, it’s a positive move but points out HCL's need to stay competitive.

After over five years at HCL, I’ve seen various salary changes. The recent news of the HCL hike 2024 is a 7% hike in salary which has sparked mixed reactions. While some see it as a positive response to inflation and a reflection of our successes, others feel it falls short compared to raises at other companies. Even though concerns about whether it truly reflects the growing tech demands, many employees view this increase as a step in the right direction and hope for more investment in talent moving forward.

Resigned but, in Dilemma

I currently resigned from TCS. I wanted to know how much package Accenture can offer me as a Java Developer with 3 years of experience? I already have an offer with 15LPA. Can I ask 16 LPA+ 2 LPA variable??? Should role be on C11 level??...
