Paytm is any day better than simpl in longetivity perspective
18 at home >> 21 in Bangalore where you would be doing 2-3 hours daily in traffic.
And you have the liberty to take vacations once a month, and the luxury of your home. Plus Paytm is a better brand to shift in future.

makes sense

Paytm. With all the expenses you’d have to incur in Bengaluru, it’s not worth moving here just for 3L extra.

getting better base now will help in future salary negotiations right? thats my only point

ZoomyPretzel

Your present and future matter equally. While I do agree with your point, the advantages of taking Paytm outweigh that of Simpl. Besides, brand name of Paytm would help you negotiate better at your next gig.

You current earning may decide your future growth. It is easier to negotiate with the next company when you are on 21 than on 18.

is it such a big factor in early stage of career ?

Bro, the expense in bangalore including rent and everything on an average would be ₹60k/month

Do your financials before coming to a conclusion. Also, dont forget your time spent in the office and commuting to & fro maybe 1hour minimum.

In my personal opinion, Since the difference is around 16% I would settle with the 18L remote job and work on my DSA skills for a better job in a year’s time.

60k? Dont you think its too much

WFH >>> Office anytime. Networking can be done by attending dev fests and events. I'd choose Company B anyday if I'm in your shoes.

but base is low.. wouldn't that affect future salary negotiations

Networking, improving read on body language, better bonding, easy access to other’s knowledge, and many other reasons to choose relocation.

I would choose paytm for an year or 2 and then relocate with one more switch. 18 wfh is same 21 in Bangalore considering rent and all.
