Is Capgemini a good company to join during this market uncertainty?

I'm interviewing Capgemini and my first interview was in mid July and cleared the first round with very positive feedback.

Next, they scheduled the 2nd round of technical interview directly with Clients and I have cleared that too with very positive feedback as HR informed me.

Next, the HR round happened and they are giving little less than what I asked for.

  1. Is Capgemini a good company to join in this current market?
  2. They are giving a 30% increase only on the current CTC, is it good?

YOE : 6 Years Switch : 3rd Switch

Capgemini: Will give 30k re-location and 30% increment & 3 days mandatory office.

Current Company: very much flexibility with WFO(atleast as of now), working on a good project but no much WLB, have to work on weekend too sometimes.

Ok

Should be good. 20 lpa at 6 yrs looks fine. Service based companies anyway won’t give more than 30% in current times. Even some product based companies are lowballing in this range.

Talking of Capgemini, I think you shouldn’t worry about layoff aspect. Usually Banking projects are long drawn, multi-year projects, so once you get in, it is usually set for next 2-3 yrs. Though you should also enquire about what product it is, since how long the product is being worked upon by Capgemini, what all things are in pipeline etc. That should give you some idea of whether the product is ending its development cycle, or still being built up.

Also, you can always search for other offers after accepting this one. I don’t see anything negative that you just not even accept the offer.

Thank you for all your inputs. Here, I'm working as an Associate role and multiple Senior Associate reports me in work wise. Some of my team members are 12+ YOE while myself with 6 YOE only. Technically I'm doing more work than any of them, and all responsibility and accountability lies within myself for the whole team as I'm working as Team Lead, yet they are getting almost double of my current pay. Current Project is good and as it's a new project it's a very long term project (5 years min), so I see very much stability here even though Cognizant is famous for hiring and firing.
