How much retention money tcs gives?
Seeking Advice: Should I Stay or Move On?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding a career decision. I currently have an offer of 15 LPA from a new company, but my current employer, TCS, is in the process of initiating a retention offer. I have around 7 years of experience in Business Analysis and Data analysis. And current salary is around 4.83 LPA.
Here’s where I need your input:
• How much can TCS typically offer in terms of retention? • Is it worth staying for a retention offer, or should I go for the new opportunity?
A few more things to consider:
• The project I’m currently assigned to at TCS is in the initial stages, and I haven’t been actively involved in any work yet. It’s still at the requirements-gathering phase. • Given this, should I push for a release or stay for the new project?
Would love to hear your experiences and any advice you can share. Thanks in advance.
Given your current salary I assume you're still in c1 grade and your ITA promotion is due, it's better to switch both in terms of CTC and better designation. If you resign, there is a high chance that they'll release you easily because of the initial phase of the project.
My manager is not releasing me and saying we will trying to retain you but it will take time.
