Ask for hike or move to a new company
I have got very less hike and my ctc is below market/company standards, so should I talk to my skip manager for raise or just switch to a new company, I’m worried about recession and layoffs. Yoe: 4

Hello I am a chartered accountant and working in the field of internal audits. I had joined a company after my 3 years of post qualification experience and 3 years of pre qualification experience into internal audits. During interview we were promised to work for USA cpa firm but now they want all of us to move to internal opportunity which is not related to my profile. I have been giving interviews but not getting a good raise so how to ask for raise ?

You need to adapt - multi pronged strategy 1.Take up CIA - US course - specialization in internal audits .
2. Zero down name of companies hiring in your domain like rsi , KPMG
3.Mannage upper management well during this job
4. If 12-15 percent appraisal does not satisfy you , then switch job post this increment in year. 2024 . Only change job after getting good idea of new workplace culture .
