How to moonlight?

I've resigned and our co-founder gave me an offer, where I'll be officially released but I have to work after office hours & will get paid accordingly (for temporary period) I'm sorta inclined towards the offer, I'll get some extra money + the work load isn't much, I can do it along with my day job.

Now what are the factors I should take care of while finalizing this decision? How to make sure my bgc remains clean or something?

How the payment will happen? Ofc they will propose me something, but I wanna be prepared from my side as well.

Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any input, about anything I've written or about moonlighting in general.

PS: I'm also okay declining the offer, except the fact the company will suffer, which I don't want to (as we are very small team), and I genuinely want it to be successful.

Take this money with a basic TDS deduction, no PF no Professional taxes. Get your contract under Consultant

If you can do the same with your day job, you can benefit under 44ADA too.

Anything you do, do not take two PFs.

Hi @BiryaniEnthu. I had joined a company as contractor. They deduct tds. Now I'm planning to start FT job and keep doing this contractor gig. Will this be a problem? Will the FT find out in any way?

Is it’s going to be recognised as a freelance work and they are going to pay you on work basis , then it should not be a problem . Have it paid under TDS . In case that’s not feasible , try asking the team to pay to some other person in your family and get it transferred . It’s pretty risky and not everyone will be willing to do it but you can take a chance

Interesting. I won't indulge my family members tho, will talk how we can sort it out.
