Since possession isn’t immediate, and you seem to have the budget, why not closer to the airport? since its cheaper and the city has major infrastructure planned towards that area. Metro upcoming too. Heard from someone that water availability could be an issue in whitefield.

Spending so much on a flat ? The Land doesn’t belongs to you, also most of today’s RWA are full of shitty uncles who just do politics and maintenance depends on this. Better to buy a plot build a stilt parking plus 4 floors and live on 1 and rent 3 and enjoy secondary income for life.

You can if you plan to stay there for more than 15-20 years. 
  
 You plan to repay your loan in 5-10 years. 
  
 You have enough emergency buffers to pay loan in case of downturn. 
  
 Dont think of real-estate as investment in BLR, as the builder is calculating the future value and charging us. 
  
 Be ready for project delays and headaches associated with them.(RERA is a joke in karnataka not as strong as other states. Clear example is all Adarsh projects )

Whitefield has a better infrastructure as compared to other areas. Now with metro connectivity, the rentals are skyrocketing. 2 bhk are going at 40-65k

Buy 2 bhk in Whitefield  for investment

Context - Buying as an investment, don't plan to live there. I plan to live on rent. Current rent is 17k/month.

I'll keep it short for max input. I'm looking at some flats priced around 60-70L for a 2BHK. Rent in the area will be ~30k. If I pay 20L down and take a home loan for 40L, EMI will be approx ~65k for a period of 7 years (I want to pay it off ASAP, to pay the least amount of interest). 

I earn around 1.5L per month. Personal expenses are ~50k per month. Assuming I get 30K as rent I'll have to pay a maximum of 40K as emi. This is a very recent thought on which I've just researched for a couple of hours so apologies if I missed anything important but honestly this looks quite doable to me.

Mid 30s, single, been in Koramangala (and Bangalore) for 3.5 years now. Absolutely love the society I live in. There’s a 2BHK available for sale 
1300 sq feet. 1.5 cr. 15 year old building. Great location. Low rise. 
I’m not sure of my future plans so unsure of how long I’ll be living here. Could be forever, could plan on moving a few years down the line. 
Unable to decide if it makes sense to buy or keep renting. Rental yield is ~4.1%. What kind of an appreciation cal I expect on 1.5cr in the next 5-10 years.

Planning to buy a house. I'm confused about what should be the max price range I should be targeting for. I was okay with going till 2 cr since I would be able to do 40% down-payment and take loan for 15 years whose monthly EMI wouldn't be more than 1/3rd of my monthly in hand salary. 

But after talking to few folks, realized that people are actually okay going for costlier properties. 

People who bought house in last 3-4 years, what % down-payment did you do and what % of your in hand salary is your EMI?

I recently moved to Hyderabad and looking for a 3 bhk flat for my family in the Whitefields area. Seeing rent in the range of 55-60K (in a gated society with basic amenities) including maintenance. Curious to know how much folks staying in that area are paying and if the rent quoted to me is reasonable?
