Success in sales is defined by incentives. And incentives are subject to ticket size. Which usually is higher in B2B.
But the audience you are selling to is drastically different as compared to D2C market. So yes if you are looking at growth from financials perspective, moving to B2b will be the recommended move.

Hey thanks for your revert. That definitely helps a ton . I also seem to understand from those I have spoken to that B2B sales values you in terms of industry connects you have and a lot of it is cold calling people, or cold emailing those whose details you details you source ? How true is this ? And aaa fresher with no connects how does one move into this to build a network

Connects is an overrated term in sales. You can start a conversation with having connects but no one will ever buy from you because you are part of their network. At the end its about how good of a sales person you are and how good is your product. Talking about on how you want to start. Depends on number of total years of experience. If it is less than 3, you’ll and you should start from SDR role and then climb up the ladder. Best way to do it is make a list of startups you want to join, get linkedin profiles of hiring managers(SDR head, sales head & ceo), find their email address using something like email hunter. And send them a good crisp email of why you’d be great fit for them. No big words, no copied stuff from the internet. Just good insight into why they’d be missing out if they don’t hire you.
