jiocimema non tech culture

hi folks

any idea on how the culture is in erstwhile voot / viacom18 which is now jiocinema?

heard it's changing but not exactly sure in which direction with the coming in of jio...

some insight will be super useful

Viacom18 by itself wasn't the happiest of places to work. Jio will only make it worse.

The mother Jio is a horror show. I gladly do business with them but will never advise anyone to work for them.

thanks for the insight.... curious.. have heard a bunch of stuff around jio being another lala company... is that what you also referring to?

the set of people in now jio cinema are all from other, hopefully and seemingly better companies , like Google, hostar etc. worrisome if that won't be able to carve out a better version!

Most folks in mother Jio also have decades of tech / telecom MNCs. Nothing permeates the Lala's iron fisted reign.

The trope has run for every industry they've gone into.

Retail - hired global retail giants from Walmart, Tesco, Asda, etc.
R Comm - same as Jio. It was Jio 1.0. R Entertainment - Jio Cinema 1.0.

Everyone tried the induct their own culture - got waylaid by the OG sooner than later.
