Matrimonial sites awkward stories

Share yours,

Sharing one of my female friend’s story :

The guy had uploaded backdated pictures (3 yrs) of his on matrimonial site profile, they talked and everything, went to meet the guy along with parents.

Situation : The guy was completely bald when compared to the photos he had uploaded, had also not shared any recent pics on WhatsApp chat (even after asking multiple times) citing reasons that he was very busy with work and all. Needless to say my friend was taken aback.

Verdict : Rejected on account of being dishonest (not bald).

P.S. : My friend has dated bald guys in her past.

I am not a storyteller so had to use clear indications of situation and verdict.

Here's my senior's story:

Guy had done his masters, earning really well (7 yoe, nearly 1 CrPA package), matched with a girl. They met like 3-4 times and when we thought everything is going well. She even proposed him with a small poem after one of their dates. Next day, got a rejection from her father.

The reason? He did a diploma instead of the usual +2 before doing B. Tech.

Diploma ruined his life

Actually it saved his. We found him a much better match later and today they've been married for about an year now. If the rejection didn't happen, maybe they'd be bickering about his diploma even now.

My cousins opened my matrimonial profile to tease me but I started enjoying it. One of the matches wanted to talk with my father and needed my Kundali. My father was very skeptical and repeatedly confirmed if I indeed wanted to send. I got annoyed and asked him of why is he being paranoid.

That was the day I learnt I was a Maangalik.

Fast forward 1 month, most of my matches got Covid during the 2nd wave.

The spouse death curse is different from being Mangalik. Mangalik, in more simple terms, is flaring anger and ego clash. Which is why people avoid in marriagea and understandably so.

Once I got in touch with a girl from same place where I work, when I shared with her that she got angry because I did not approached her in office for proposal and we are meeting on matrimonial site.

Before making contact on matrimonial site I was not in touch with her and never had encounters in office and after breaking up on matrimonial site somehow I started encountering her a lot and used to get angry stares from her 😂😂😂😂😂

I had a similar story with my sibling. We were looking for a groom on a matrimonial site and matched with a few people and saw that baldness is actually a widespread thing. While I understand that baldness brings in a lot of shame and mental suffering for the person going through it, it is always better to talk about these things upfront especially in the case of marriages. The most horrible case was when one of the guys and his parents were trying to hide vitiligo. The guy had vitiligo and they didn't feel it was important to mention that.

Verdict: Be very cautious while interacting with people on matrimonial sites.
