Need guidance for placement prep

I'm a third year Economics (hons.) Student from a tier 1 college in University of Delhi and placements are just around the around. If anyone can share any tips regarding CV, aptitude tests and interviews, I would be really grateful. I'm an average student academically and don't really have any amazing achievements so far. I just have one internship in market research and that too with a startup and a bunch of certifications, society membership and competitions. So I feel like my chances are a bit low but if anyone can give tips that will help give me a boost up in front of recruiters irrespective of my marks and achievements, I would really appreciate that.🙏🏼✨

Hey @ImperfecT

Can you share the kind of companies that come to your college, and also the companies/roles you are targeting?

Personally come from a Tier 1 non-engg college but life has been good, so hopefully I can share something

We get big MNCs like Bain, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, EY, etc. And financial and banking institutes as well like Axis, ICICI etc. and big IT companies as well and govt. And startups. Personally I'm hoping for tier 2 consulting companies like EY, LEK and Deloitte as well as research and analysis positions

Hey, i come from a similar bg. Don't set any expectations, period. I've seen bain (bcn) offers being delayed to jan 2024.
Aim a min fixed salary like 7lpa and do not get carried away by high CTCs.
Make a hr questions repository and have the key points memorised. Also, while writing points on the cv, making sure to quantify it and use the result-context-action approach. But don't embellish your achievements to the point that you can't justify them. Controversial, but figure what u want money or good role. For me it was a bit of both so had to make sacrifices. Also, a lot of firms shortlist on the basis of aptitude tests, not cvs. At least that's what I got to know from insider convos. Luck is a factor mate, so work very smartly.
