Needs a personal trainer to level up ?

Hi there. I recently joined the gym without personal training. It has been 1 month. And I have been doing some basic workouts and been progressing. But the thing is, when I talk to the gym trainer to teach me some new exercises or alternatives, they just joke it off.

I can't leave this gym, because I don't have 2 wheelers for commute and this gym is the nearest one.

What should I do ?

I get that gym is also a business. But while doing exercise, I don't my form sometimes. And have no friend to spot also.

Should I stop going? I don't want any injuries beacuse of wrong form!

That's how u meet new friends. If you don't know the right posture ask people. Check youtube. I'm really really sure no one will make fun of you if you politely ask them the right posture.

I was in the same situation that you are. My form was wrong for almost the first 3-4 months lol cuz the trainer didn't care what I did.

What I advise you to start doing is - say Hi before coming to the gym/Bye while you're leaving or if that's not possible just smile at them whenever you come and go. That way they'll start noticing you . If they notice your wrong form , that way they won't hesitate to tell you that

Progressively overload Take a couple of weeks to correct your form by only using very light weight you are really comfortable with. And once you think your form is correct, start overloading. Watch videos on how to perform the exercise correctly and just practice. There is no need to depend on anyone unless you are lifting very heavy, which might not be the case for you.
