3 months notice period tackel/buyout option?
I am tired of 3 months notice period. Does any one have any idea how to tackel 3 months notice period? Many companies ignoring immediately after listening 3 months of notice period.
How do I put an option of notice period buyout in front of my manager?
I have recently resigned and have a 2 months notice period. I want to get it reduced to 1 month. My manager is not willing to do it and is acting weird after I have resigned.
Any suggestions on how to get this done??
Try talking about transition plan. Manager should be able to see how you are passing the baton and after that you can talk to manager directly.
I personally don’t think sharing with HR before direct Manager is a good idea. HR can’t take any decision without HM’s approval.
Talked to the manager about it. He said it is not possible to reduce the notice period. He even said if I take any leave then notice period would increase.
If no activities are planned for you, just chill and tell the next employer you tried your best but they have “heavy dependencies” on you.
Had similar situation a year ago. I served my 1 month and asked them to nullify it against the 2nd. They don't have to pay me anything for the notice period, only time before the resignation.
I had resigned on 16 Apr, notice period ends on 17 June, one month completed on 17 May. I left, joined new company on 18 May and got money for 15 days of April (final amount)
If it’s mentioned in policy somewhere then talk to hr maybe as manager isn’t helping

Can managers really help you reduce the notice period if they want to or not?
