Tech consulting - Advice needed
I have started my tech consulting career as an MS D365 CRM consultant; Been 1.5 years; Can I move to SAP or Oracle consulting?
Hi all, I'm currently working at Accenture for 3.5 years as C11(Database) , I was undergoing a training in Oracle Supply Chain Management at a Online centre/startup for last 6 months.
Now that startup want me to work as full time in the SCM technology but they are offering me the same salary package im currently getting now.
The thing is they are working on many project things like SCP,SCM,WMS etc but mostly experienced persons used to take care of the technical part. Which leave me to just schedule calls, doing excel/docs, analyze in the call for hours but couldn't understand anything. I understand there is more of self learning needed than of KT. They are telling if I work here full time after a year they will recommend me for interview packages of 1 lakh per month.
I want to know whether the Oracle Fusion SCM has a growth in market for next 10 years.
And if i work in this startup and do only documentation and not work on technical stuff will i be able to clear the interviews with high packages(1 lakh/month)
Should i take a risk and join that startup and work for a year with same package. Or should i be current technology (database) and search jobs externally?. Any of your inputs is fine please help 🙏.
Better to move out rather than sitting with MNC where the pay and promotions will hault after some time. Being a fresher learning and taking risk should be top priority in you bucket. Money will flow in once you are a all rounder

Deciding between staying in your current role or moving to a startup to work on Oracle Fusion Supply Chain Management (SCM) involves weighing several factors, including market growth potential, personal career goals, and the nature of the work you'd be doing. Let's break down your situation:
Oracle Fusion SCM Market Growth: Oracle Fusion SCM is part of Oracle's Cloud applications suite, which has been growing steadily. The demand for cloud-based SCM solutions is on the rise, driven by the need for more agile, scalable, and efficient supply chain processes. While specific predictions can fluctuate, the general trend towards digital transformation and cloud solutions suggests a positive outlook for technologies like Oracle Fusion SCM. This does not guarantee a decade of growth, but current trends are promising.
Role and Skill Development: The role you described at the startup seems to focus more on coordination and documentation rather than hands-on technical work. This can be valuable, especially if you aim to move into project management or business analysis roles in the future. However, if your goal is to deepen your technical skills, you might find this limiting. Self-learning is crucial in technology fields, but practical experience and mentorship are also key components of skill development.
Future Salary Promises: Promises of future salary increases or job opportunities should be approached with caution. While the startup's offer to recommend you for higher-paying positions is encouraging, it's not guaranteed. Market conditions, company performance, and your own ability to develop and demonstrate the necessary skills will all play a role in whether those opportunities materialize.
Risk vs. Reward: Joining the startup involves risk, especially since you'd be making a lateral move salary-wise and potentially stepping away from hands-on technical work. However, it could also offer a unique opportunity to pivot
