Preference of work life balance vs salary

Hi folks, I am in bit of dilemma. I am currently working in a service based company for approx 6 years now. I want to switch in a proper product related company. I have worked for multiple clients from client location (worked from client office with their team). After working with them, I have realised they have better work life balance as well as pay (contrary to common beliefs). I am in the interviewing process of a couple of companies and from sources (ex colleagues and friends) have come to know stuff, which may not be proper for me( working overtime always, office politics, appraisal etc.).. I am in a pretty confused state, I have started preparing of interview and stuff..but these info is actually bringing my moral down.. Any suggestions folks? How to stay focused and find the good(well nothing is perfect) place for me to work?

Ngl, everything depends on team-to-team basis and also on individuals.

And I've NEVER MET a single person who is OKAY with their company. (Not counting startup peeps)

Even on a different post on Grapevine, 80% voted that they don't like their job.

So people gonna rant & cry. It's just what they cry about.

Real example:

An unemployed guy cries for job. A small service based employee cries for product company. A product company person cries for better salary. A better salary one cries for better benefits. Better benefits employee cries for big names. Big names cries for workload & responsibility.

It just goes on & on & on.

It's just decide why you wanna work and switch & stick to it.

After working in 2 service based and then product based I realised people in product based are very talented and as a result they get payed what they deserve. I found difficult adjusting in product based for starting of few months just because I was in my comfort zone in my previous companies. But it's worth switching to product based if you are still eager and curious to learn otherwise just only for money you can't adjust yourself in that environment. Now coming to wlb it's all depend on project be it service based or product based.
