Much of the design challenges are solved in the current 2D interfaces (Mobile/Web). Also maybe Figma will build an AI tool (leveraging all the design files they have with them) that can design stuff effectively. I think designers need to do a hard re-think on the 'creative' aspect of their job - deep inside it's just patterns and it's variations mostly. Will we need this much designers moving forward? Is Product design as a career past its glory days?
