Responsibilities of High-end Designations

I am a bit confused but can anyone tell me what do people with hi-fi Designations do. Like I have heard people work on the role of Product manager, Projet manager, solutions architect, operations manager. No offense though but all I see them is doing either meetings or speaking mumbo jumbo to clients. Like what value do they add??? Just curious as for the first time I will be joining a company with ppl having such tags so wanted to know for which takes can I seek their help.

To be able to talk “mumbo-jumbo” to clients you need pedigree, which is provided by the designation. It’s a vicious cycle that’s recursive in nature!

Bro I work in a service based company, I literally feel thankful to my PMs for reducing chaos on the project & helping set the right expectations 🤣

How so????

The clients come with unrealistic expectations and the PMs help us better scope and use jumbo-jumbo Jira theatrics to show that we are working 🥲. They enforce practices which sort of highlight our hard work. Keeps everyone happy. The PM also helps get a response from designer, DevOps, product leads, clients, etc.

Hifi desugnations are meaning less unless you are in client facing role. And on first meet they will recognise how much your designation is worth. Why do companies offer such designation?. My theory is to reduce your availability of jobs in the market. Having been designated as "manager" your odds of going into an "analyst" position is pyshcologically lower. If you don't believe me ask any person who works in a financial org like mnc Bank.. every third person is an AVP. Or I think the second or third lowest position is probably AVP
