SaaS product you’d pay 100 / month for?

Viners, finally I’m frustrated enough to make a move on building my own business.

Just curious about what b2c SaaS would you not mind paying 100 / month for? Preferably in the capital markets / personal finance space?

Personal budgeting and long term goals solution. The apps that exist are bloated or require to much upkeep.

Somebody here was talking about the app "You need a budget". Costs 9k per year, too much.

Main pain points: too many outlets for cash outflow: multiple UPIs, credit cards, occasional cash, NEFT, recurring transactions like SIPs.

I never know how much money i have in a month, the bank balance of only half the story. I have pending LIC payments, vehicle insurance, property taxes, emis and others. Its just a mess. I had to do a lot of Excel gymnastics to arrive at a number.

If you can figure out an easier solution that fits most use cases but is a little customisable, I'd pay upto 200 or even 300 a month.

Very very true, i need a app which can combine all i have and showcase at one place. Money in MF, gold, stock with analysis.

Also if there is a way to know how much to invest where bases on my salary breakdown and suggest me a way to invest and taxable components

Problem with these kind of apps is not building it. That's the easy part. Hard part is getting permissions. Simply we shouldn't access the Cx bank details and all subscriptions. And it's very hard to get Cust trust where he has to willingly enter all the required information to third party app. It's hell of privacy issues

Reliable, backuped, available storage for pictures. Sadly there is already a solution for it called Google Photos

Very true, i am looking for a store medium for pictures but google is too expensive

Google photos is the only reason i pay for storage. And yes, it is a damn ripoff.

Truecaller works? My problem with that is that it is suspiciously snoopy.

A payment tracker that recommends credit cards based on spends. Thought about building it, not getting much time though 😕. Also, haven't tried mobile dev yet

That’s more like a one time use rather than monthly subscription, no?

PeppyKoala
PeppyKoala

The recommendation, yeah. The tracking can be a subscription with insights and suggestions and whatnot. Might as well stuff in an LLM

Good luck trying to get any money from retail in india for that kind of stuff.

Indian consumer = Bargain mentality. Instant gratification.

Capital market / personal finance is long term hygiene. India like Dunzo, Zepto, Zerodha etc.

Also ARPU is too low. D2C will require burning millions upfront and that would give you a 1% chance of success assuming you find an investor

Easier to sell ice cream and chocolates.

An app that blocks all ads across every damn social media platform. I would pay even more than that to block these annoying ads.

DancingCupcake

Super hard to build. I tried writing a bot to block youtube ads, and had a really hard time doing it. Cat and mouse game. It might also infringe on t&c of some service provider

Can't we block network requests from the famous ad companies? That is how most of the ad blockers work

YT premium - 99/month Prime - 1499/yr Hotstar - 1499/yr Google Drive - 2100/yr for 200GB For Personal Finance had taken a Tickertape Pro subscription, didn't find it much useful and hence didn't renew. Got it for 399 for a year during last year independence day offer. Feel the space has little genuine offerings and the paying customer base is even lower.

Hey peeps, do you guys know of any consumer SaaS that went big without having a B2B angle in place?
