Hi there, I have competed my Masters in the field of computer science and engineering from an IIT(one that’s in the top 3) this year and after that I have joined a firm as an Analyst (it’s a senior level position and my first job) with a decent pay of around 1.4 L in hand per month. It’s a well known fact that in 2023(during my placement season) the job market was really down and hence not a lot of companies came to my college for sde role and even the companies that came hired very less people. I have a decent knowledge of DSA, Machine Leaning and even some web dev stuff. My first preference was to be an sde or a ML engg but given the placement scenario and the nice pay I opted for analyst role(although the work is a lot similar to that of a data scientist).
