Iam a product designer and front-end developer plus a no code developer. I have 1.7 yrs experience. I don't have a big package ,6 lac plus 4 lac I make via freelance. Iam not in a big metro city . My expense are all around 6 k a month.
My gf is a junior scientist working for us base company which makes batteries for electric vehicles.she has package of 8 lac. And she is working near my home town. We both are based from kochi kerala. She has approsal every 3 months .and have lot of opportunities to travel outside India attend conference. And it is a rare opportunity.
Now we are planning to get married. But I don't want her to leave her Job because she had learned so much and finally she got this job .
The problem is ill have to move to kochi ,there the packages are not that great. I'll have to settle for less below 10lac.
From some mentors I talked they say I would get around 16 lac easily. The only reason I never bothered jumping was I was very comfortable in my job and and my total income was also good.
But now iam thinking what should I do. Since she has to be offline work from home is not option. I'll have to move . I'll be near my home and parents .
But I will have a lame packge .
What should I do.im confused 😕

I worked basically in legal tech and edtech.in legal teach the current one I design and code to.i worked on designing a backend web app app for internal use of support and qa . The second things I'm working on is building a design system fir the company and helping the senior designer with some flows and validation to code since i code too .We use tailwind as our ui Fram work. I deisgn and convert it to html css (tailwind)in angular project and hand off to developers.
Edtech I worked for 1 yr , it's an edtech platform to teach data science and machine learning for kids. The idea was to introduce ai and ml with lot of interactive fun ui ux. I was the principle product deisgner. The startup launched in 2019 then failed because it had poor experience. I came in 2022 revamped entire thing. Launched MVP . Had good user reviews and got an accreditation from Stanford stem certification.
Platform had games , quizzes,puzzles, exercises,
It's not like any edtech platform normally out there. It looks and feel like a game.
Currently building my portfolio and putting together things.

Im sure you can find remote work, since your job doesnt need you to be in office necessarily. Look for non Indian companies so you can work out of Kochi too
Simple thing, if you wanted to stay with her after marriage then try to look for remote jobs only, you will get that kind of package as well.
I feel you bro, I've also been through kind of a similar situation before.
I've heard IBM has made kochi office their design hub. Try to reach out to someone over there.
And also there is another company called Keyvalue who's currently hiring. (they also pay upwards of 10 lakhs)
