Situation at semiconductor

Hey guys! I'm currently in my 3rd year of ECE and I heard a lot about semiconductor industries going down in India and the placement in semiconductor is harder than spotting a horse with a horn. Is it true? Also if someone knows how to get into those companies please comment on how to train myself to place into those companies.

Being from ECE background myself, I can share my experience. Back in 2019, even in good market, 99% ECE students were interviewing for companies in other branches. I remember, only one semi conductor company came to the campus and hired only 1 guy. All of us were trying to get placed in other sectors.

I started coding and data analysis to land a job and I haven’t regretted it once.

How's the semiconductor industry right now ?

I see a hiring decline in India and campus recruits even though india is trying its best to push semiconductor fab and manufacturing.

I don't even see many people on grapevine who are into core electronics.
