Software Engineering is a game of Pinball
When I was a kid I dreamt of becoming a software engineer, because I was told software engineers are always in front of their computers. Little me thought that I could play Pinball all the time.
But after I became an engineer a couple of years ago, I found myself not even getting enough time to play. Sad life...
Recently I realised, I've been playing Pinball all the time. The launcher which kicks you in the butt is known as the HR.
The two flippers in the bottom which keep on kicking you are manager and team lead. The side drums which gives shocks to you, are senior developers.
The switches that you toggle in the top, are the interns. And the worm hole which you enter, stay for a while and come back with more speed? That's called a long weekend. That is rare.

When I was like 10-12, I just dreamt of just laying on a private yacht on a private island with ice cream, a gaming arcade and hot girls
Now I am an adult and I still dream the same but add some alcohol in there
