Started feeling lonely and depressed

I moved to Bangalore earlier this year for my work. I am having a decent package as a beginner around 15CTC. Initially I was living in PG for few months then moved to 1BHK alone. I thought it would be easy and more comfortable to live alone. But now after some months reality hit me hard. I am not interested in cooking so skip meals sometime(don't buy food from outside because I am fed up eating outside) Most of the time I feel lonely or not at all good mentally. To tackle these feelings I go for solo trips with different communities but now I am tired with this to as after coming from trip I feel same. I am not into drinking and smoking so it becomes hard to socialize outside.

So, I am writing down here about my feelings. What should I do to avoid these feelings or minimise it? I need your suggestions.

Now I am targeting to start preparing for a switch and then try to get a remote job so that I can go to my hometown but I can do this only after 8 months as there are bonuses which I have and to keep it I need to be here for 8 more months.

So, suggest me to tackle loneliness and negativity.

Move to a shared apartment like 3bhk. Having roommates help. You can just go out with them to eat and explore. Living alone will make you depressed.

Doesn't help you meet them 2 times a day and if they get GF you life is going to be alone only

This is really really risky and the start of a downwaed spiral. What you described is what I have been though for last 2 years. You need to make human connections. No Gita/Gym/meditation is gonna replace that. I'd recommend take this up on a war footing and engage in social activities where there is mindfulness and which are recurring. Give your all to find people who match your vibe in this city. It's only a matter of time before your B12 and D levels dip, work stress suddenly mounts and you sink into depresssion. Be very alert!

Dont skip meals. Will affect your health. Telling you because been there, done that. If you are into sports, strongly recommended playo maybe badminton/football. Also dont worry much, most of the people in this city are experiencing the same thing. If you are away from home for the first time in life, give it time
