Hello!
I'm working as a functional Consultant in Oracle SCM cloud for a year and half now. Already have worked in a role with good enough functional side in the project, was unbilled for quite a while and now I'm being offered testing roles :(
I have done my MBA and prior to that had manufacturing experience.
Is this kind of role, I should be accepting? I'm unsure if it will help in my career growth. Also, in fear that this testing role will set a bar for me in the organisation. Then again fearing that I'm unbilled.
Please guide me.

Definitely not. Getting in testing from a Cloud functional role is a big step down and you will be stuck there.
I assume you are with an Indian Service company. Once you get in testing , both the process of leaving the organisation and getting different projects inside would be hard. Push back as much as you may , look for outside opportunities and if desperate put down the paper
In an MNC (American), I got a call from my manager that this is beginning of your career, you shouldn't turn down projects like these where learning will be immense.
Basically, projects have dried up in my organisation like crazy and my billable utilisation is going down the drain which is pressuring my manager also.
Ya thats their pitch. ALWAYS. You are you . Take this chance. This that. But once you get stuck no body will be of help.
