Trying to switch company but unable to get shortlisted.

I am a SDE-2(backend with some react experience) at a mid-sized lastmile logistics company in Hyderabad, India. My tech stack is Ruby on Rails with 3.5+ years of experience. I am a non-cse IIT passout.

I am trying to switch companies but unable to get shortlisted by companies like Flipkart, Swiggy, Atlassian, Adobe, Uber, Myntra, PhonePe, Groww, etc.

I have applied to those companies but while applying I saw that in their JD, they had Java/c++/Golang written. I talked to some HRs as well and 1 of them said they outright reject people who don't have the tech stack mentioned in their JD.

I was under the impression that tech stack doesn't matter much and people do switch tech stacks around while making switches. Also, I thought that RoR is a niche skill and not many developers are around for that so I would be able to get a good career out of it. But turns that the companies working with Ruby are much less.

I am struggling in this situation and unable to find a way out. Daily I apply to lots of companies but getting demotivated day after day. Please who have been at such position before, how did you tackle this? Right now I am unable to think clearly and make a decision. What would be the best possible way ahead. These are the options that I have thought of:

  1. Switch my tech stack to Java (but again I don't know how to achieve that mid-career, should I go for java certification by Oracle).
  2. Move abroad to USA and there I can try moving to companies with Java/RoR freshly.
  3. Keep trying with RoR in India and just wait it out till some company agrees for an interview.

Or are there any other options available for me? Really puzzled right now.
