What could happen if I want to do Work from Home during Notice period?

I have recently put papers in my current company, which I was part of for more than 8 years. Notice period is 1 month. Also, My wife is currently in her 9th month of maternity, and I want to spend time with her. Also, I need to take the paternity leave of 5 days during notice period. Will they allow it? My company has a policy of 3days a week compulsorily coming to office. Can I skip the that during notice period? What is the worst that could happen? Will they not give the relieving letter? This is my first switch, and not sure about the process. My managers were pissed that I chose to quit here, and are not that supportive now. Any suggestions would greatly help.

WFH is not allowed during the notice period in most companies. Some companies will extend your NP if you WFH or take a leave.

Ok, but what are my options if I must take paternity leave and WFH for atleast 2 weeks out of 1 month NP? Is there anything that the company can refuse to give me, like experience certificate? I have some paid leaves. Can I utilise them in any way?

Does anyone else gets troubled during notice period? 😫😣

So my manager is giving unnecessary tasks and is scolding for vvvv little things which should not be a matter for a person of that level in hierarchy😮‍💨 Whats your notice period experience?
