What’s happening with byjus?

First the audit report got delayed. Now they’ve reported a loss of over 4.5k cr. And I believe they’re like a mothership of edtech, if they gone down then the entire category goes down from an investment perspective

I think BYJUs is the first draw in the decline of Indian startups with unhealthy models. You cannot throw millions of dollars into a bad model expecting profits on the other side.

Hope this makes investors and entrepreneurs invest in more sustainable growth across the board

The core problem is a lack of PMF and scaling up without it.

Value in K12 online is limited, students continue to be tuition classes oriented

Byju's stepped up all gears, did a whole lot of misselling, and also saw good numbers naturally during pandemic.

Sales team cannot be scaled beyond a point, and without PMF, I feel it's all coming together

This is major - Prosus just publically said that BYJU's had improper governance and failed to improve despite their recommendations

"BYJU’S grew considerably since our first investment in 2018, but, over time, its reporting and governance structures did not evolve sufficiently for a company of that scale. Despite repeated efforts from our Director, executive leadersh...

Largest shareholder saying this publicly, I wonder if there is any way of recovering from this point
