Resignation within 3 months
Hi All,
Please share your experience if you have resigned ever within 3months (or upto 6 months) of taking the job ?
If Yes, what compelled you to? And how did it affect the further job search ?
Looking for genuine and non diplomatic answers since it will be anonymous. It is upto you to reveal the name of the company you resigned from.
Lets discuss!!! I will go first -
I quit my last organisation (a famous UPI company) in 2020 because, they still are in old technology. No cloud computing, no kubernates, no terraform. Their entire baremetal infra are in 2 DCs (Mumbai and Bangalore). Leadership ideas are outdated. I was very much bored and looking for a change.
Amount of effort i put and the salary i got was not proportional. 14 hrs to get 30k salary as a fresher. I had understood that I deserve better - thus i moved to get better pay and better wlb (which I got in swiggy)
My story from my previous employer:-
I was doing really well and destroying it in my role. Everyone in my team had tons of extremely positive feedback (in my performance review and otherwise). I helped build a very good team too.
I had spent 10+ months to start making great impact and clearly outperforming most folks on the next level.
In the last review cycle, I received unjustified poor rating on a few parameters - just enough to make me ineligible for the promotion. I had clear data points to show why the rating was unjustified. My manager was leading me on before the review cycle to make me believe that I was on track for a promotion. Had multiple discussions to understand it till the highest level but nobody was able to answer my concerns.
My values do not let me tolerate injustice so I decided to move on despite everything else being pretty good at the company.
I found a job offering me the next level in 2 months. Quit ASAP to join the new place as it was a great gig.
They tried really hard to retain me (except for giving me the promotion I deserved). Once again, had discussions with everyone till the top. But I did not give in and joined the new place as I'd already signed and committed.
End of story.
I was working overnight. took a toll on mental health and I am resigning this weekend (2nd) 🤌✨🐥
A junior who couldn't build shit (I don't blame him he was new on the job, fresh out of college) got paid 50% more than me.
That's the point I decided I had to switch
I quit my job or I would say a forcefully resignation . This looks like a fashion in unicorns now a days .
I was doing fucking well in the team and due a promotion in upcoming quarter but one of manager made environment super toxic for me , character assassinated me, abused me, created my negative image in front my whole team, specifically called each team member and asked to share negative feedback about me .
This was going on for almost a year . I used to think of resigning every morning but the market condition was super worse, that time of my career was extremly low and worse . Nil jobs in market and even if I cracked interviews I was’nt able to make to the offers but I dint give up. It really took a troll on my mental health .
It sounds very easy but the one who goes through such time only understands the situation .
I end up triggering my fits due to a toxic work environment, but somehow later I managed to resign and left that company . Now its a past and I learned a lot in this time .
No manager is good manager, never hesitate in raising concerns and issues to higher management if you feel something is not right. Even if its about POSH.
Don’t try to do hard work if the manager thinks that you are the one man army . He/She is just using you .
Focus on your goals . Company/ Manager/Team is not your family . Do your work , get paid and live your life .

Just trying to make sure I'm not too childish in taking the decision. Will not quit unless I have another offer though.
