Xuv700 vs Hyundai Alcazar long-term review?

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right platform, but it'll be really great if you can share the long-term review on xuv700 vs Hyundai Alcazar?

Heard a lot about how good xuv700 is , but how bad their service is. Also, random blank screens, Alexa not responding, crackling sound.

Whereas no complaints as such for the Alcazar, apart from the fact that it's a bit compact.

XUV700 is a nightmare to own, see the TeamBHP page. Also Alcazar is a stretched out Creta, hate the look, why would you wanna get that - super expensive IMHO. Save up more and get the Tucson :p

Haha , fair enough. I checked the specs, somehow the power and torque of Tucson is lower than Alcazar? I didn't verify it with Hyundai as it was crossing the budget. 😅

Verify, plus it's a 5 seater so won't need that additional torque. Plus the Alcazar is an ameero ki Carens :p you don't wanna be driving that.

Test driven both, Went for Alcazar petrol top end vs xuv700.

~ mileage similar
~ external look good for both
~ internal sound system way better for Alcazar
~ internal seat comfort and other aesthetics Alcazar ++ ~ xuv700 is larger in size than Alcazar

This is really helpful, thank you for sharing your experience! Is Alcazar capable enough to have 4/5 ppl with luggage on a hill station type terrain?

Captain seats in middle row so 4 comfortable. For 5 people you can fold half of the third row but the 5th person may not find it very comfortable in last row.

XUV in terms of long term maintenance - service is bad but cheaper compared to Hyundai.

Got it, so Hyundai is over charging? Or the wear and tear is more in Hyundai?

Over time the maintenance for Hyundai is more expensive, they don’t overcharge as such. If you’re going to opt for out of Centre servicing then Alcaraz makes more sense.

Both cars don’t make much sense overall when there are superior competing cars at a similar price range.

alcazar is a better choice when you think of peace of mind but keep in mind alcazar has been sold very less when you’ll compare it to xuv700. xuv700 is mahindra’s flagship product right now and has been sold in great numbers. so ofc the problems that you see in xuv700 floating around on social media are/must be true but then again if you put those unhappy customers in ratio with the total customers you see that number is very less. i’m not sure if anyone has faced any difficulties with alcazar or anything which i’ve seen on the internet. but then again there are no great things about it either. xuv is bigger and much better in performance and comfort when compared to alcazar. also has a lot of options available (many variants) so if I was in your place i’d go with xuv

I would suggest to go for the XUV700. Alcazar is a bit overpriced and a bit underpowered for a 7 seater.
