Things not great at Unacademy's NextLevel

Unacademy has just laid off the entire team of NextLevel and will be shutting the business. It is interesting to note that Relevel underwent a major pivot after failure and was rebranded to NextLevel. Gaurav apparently blindly wrote how this product will take on LinkedIn and make CV's redundant. Guess another unacademy experiment has failed but several employees are facing the brunt of the CEO's immature experimental nature.

Unacademy and GM are hard selling nextlevel on twitter, makes me feel something fishy about the app. From relevel we have understood that they ultimately want to sell us a course by misleading us that we are incapable of getting a job at xyz company and buying their course will get us there. Do you trust any product in the UA universe now?

Can someone share what's going on inside unacademy. What new products are they launching. How good is the traction and runway

Unacademy elevated Jagnoor as (COO) of its offline centres business in January this year. However due to tiff with GM, he has decided to part ways with Unacademy. Unacademy is nearing its death with every leadership exit.

Though in all probability, what you've already heard is true.

Rumours are floating that Unacademy is getting sold by one of its main investors to another Edtech company in their portfolio for just 400 Million dollars, their last round valuation was 3.5 Billion dollars But founder Gaurav Munjal said they have 200 Million in the bank. Getting confused - Is this a repeat of Byju 2.0? They have fired the CTO and co-founder Hemesh Singh and Roman Saini ( other co-founder) is also not seen anywhere I am worried if more people are to be laid off?

I don't understand, the sector that makes sureshot money on small and medium scale is continuously failing on pan India scale. A small IIT coaching in Patna with 2 centres generates profit in crores but these Byjus and Unacademy are not really able to do anything significant in long run.

Sundays, the day where even Jesus took a breath of freedom, Unacademy Leaders think that just because you are a working professional you aren't supposed to have ONE DAY OFF! The whole Saturday we ran around creating data pointers and decks for a meeting that never happened with GM and now Sunday evening they are informing the whole team to report early for the same meeting that was supposed to happen on Saturday changing the data pointers and getting all ready before 10am Monday. I mean I understand mismanagement but this behaviour is getting way out of hand! Word to the wise and also to the so called leadership at Unacademy, you guys have no clue what you are doing and within the next 3 months I bet you guys will be the next Byjus. au revoir!
