Does it requires reason why people don't drink 😸....though I don't drink because I feel it is not made for me 🧸

It is so common to drink, shocking how it has been normalised

Yes ✋🏻 true
Drinking needs a reason but not the other way around. But do you mean how to deal with the shit of drinkers who outcast us ? This has always been an issue for me too - Any smart suggestions on how to deal with?

I don't go with drinkers.
Non drinkers get all the responsibilities to drive, clean up and even "pay equally" when you just ate a pizza
Oh nice, I hardly have a full group of non drinkers. It becomes inevitable as they are all good friends but it gets irritating at times

My father has been drinking from college everyday and he is now 60+. And all I can say is it is very clear comparing him to non drinkers in his age, slow thinking, health issues and what not. Even the way he walks one can easily tell how detrimental alcohol is to the body. People do not realise it in their 20s and 30s cause thats the prime of our health. Once you get into 40+ thats when the issues start, esp for us desk job people - no or less exercise, no body movements, bad eating habits, high stress, late and incomplete sleep. This generation is gonna be in some serious trouble once we all reach 40s. We definitely won’t be like our parents, they were much stronger and natural than us.
My health is already shitty without alcohol, don't want to make it worse, and having seen drunk people, I never want to behave that way ever in my life

For me, there is no such reason. A week before I drank first time just to check how it tastes, so we had cocktails "Manhattan" and "Bloody Mary" Both tasted like shit....then I ask my friends why u drink such things if it doesn't even taste good, they are like bro you don't know that state of mind and bla bla those after effects.............
Then I asked them which type of alcohol tastes good they asked me to try wine......now I'm looking for a wine partner 🤣

Wine is equally disappointing 😂
Why drink alcohol when you have lassi 🥛
Try gin and tonic or gin and juice if you wanna drink for the taste. Most people drink for the high though

I do not drink. Never felt the need. And I am really perplexed at how ppl react at a teetotaller as if that cannot be a norm. Drinking is so damn normalised.
Many factors contribute for me in being a teetotaller: zero exposure during growing up years (only seen ppl who are absolute addict causing nuisance), family's absolute hatred towards drinking, being a CA not been to college much during graduation/ having friends that hook you up to this/ teach you, having anxiety scares me to even touch anything addictive/ unhealthy or remotely related, never felt the peer pressure, don't want to screw health this way if cannot strive for fitness.
So far I have not felt the peer pressure, need to fit in, etc.
I am also not in favour of kids being normalised to parent's drinking. This is my personal choice and opinion. My husband detests drinking knowing someone close addict who destroyed cousin's and hers kids' life.
I tried drinking to fit in, however, I didn't like the taste at all.
Interesting part is when I asked my friends why do they drink, most of them replied that they started off to fit in and now they have become habitual to it.
Wouldn't like to spend so much money on something that I don't even like.
And I would often wonder, people who drink either regularly or occasionally, what's your reason?
Although choice doesn’t require a reason but I feel it is not for me. Its taste sends my mood to hell. And people pretend too much after having it and I dont wanna act in that way, so I am good without it. And I can be the interesting and fun person without external chemical help.

Same bhai same
Bina piye hi liver kharab hai 🥺
I don’t drink as I enjoy my life in consciousness, don’t need alcohol to get high. 😄
Also have an alcoholic father at home - I have learned a lot from him about ‘what not to do in life!’.

For me, didn't like the taste. Don't want to get accustomed to something that doesn't even taste good.
Also, I'm not sure how drunk me will be. Cannot take that risk
“Physical well-being and I like to have a control over my body and mind.”
I used to weigh around 90kg when i reached 12th standard, faced body shaming all my life.
Someday, something got into me and I decided to change it all. Promised myself I will put my physical health before anything.
Lost ~20kg in first year of the college, bad food and lots of playing time helped a lot.
Got into full time working out, it’s been around 12+ years now, if something makes me skip the gym, it feels bad.
