How much runway do you have ?

I have a runway of about a year. 22 LPA, 2 Yoe. Can pay rent & home expenses, groceries, subscriptions, Lifestyle - Breweries, 2 trips, cult membership & protien shakes Family - Can give gifts & cover current medical costs.

I see people here showing of their networth more than often. The stocks they have, the salary they draw and with their very little experience and young age. Please let’s not make it another bragging platform. Let’s get real. I’m putting out my story. I got laid off, got a job after 2 months. Quit the job within a month as it needed me to relocate immediately (which was earlier supposed to happen after 3 months) plus I figured they had a very toxic culture (which I could figure before joining, but beggars can’t be choosers) I have 2 months of runway with my savings I’m married. Wife is also on a break currently. Current networth? (-)16 lacs. Have loans worth 25 lacs which will be over in next 5 years. I have been a generalist all my life, and I figured post all this layoffs that no matter what you do, how much you put in, at the end you’ll just be a Number for the company and at times of difficulty they’ll lay you off. What am I thinking next? To find freelancing and consulting services along with a job which will just be required to pay my fixed monthly expenses and have my peace of mind and on the side build things what I really love and enjoy. Will experiment the one or two ideas I have, if there are good responses and feedback and I sense a demand, will scale it up else move on to the next one. I don’t want to retire ever, I want to keep working till my last breath, but a work I love doing, a work that will always let me have my peace of mind. I don’t want to make a billion dollar company, but something that gives meaning to things I am passionate about and people can connect themselves with. I want to quit my job and take a break. I Have been contemplating to do the same for almost an year but decided not to do it. So many things have happened since then 1. Layoff wave started in india 2. Got married 3. Had to move back to bangalore from hometown Reason I want to quit is I don't feel like working , feeling bored and work doesn't interest me that much. I want to take a break chill for a bit but don't have guts to do the same considering market conditions ( what if I don't get a job when I am back in the market😅) Please give any advice on how to tackle this situation or if someone has gone through the same, would love to hear your experience. Also how is the product hiring currently in India? PS: I do have a good runway for 4-5 months considering all expenses but I am scared to take the step

Hello, its been on my mind for sometime. Im in a job which doesn’t seem to be going in any direction (gate walled, no clarity, team politics) and getting fed up over last few months. Want to quit & take a break, but considering the job scene here, it might be a sometime before I get another job. So should I leave or rot for few more months? 😭 Hows the job hunting scene right now? Any advise would be really appreciated.. 🙏

My current job is consuming me completely. I don't get to upskill myself. Therefore, I am stuck in this vicious cycle where I want to leave my organization to work in a better environment along with skilled colleagues. However, to do this, I will have to upskill myself. Would love to hear your experience if you have been in a similar situation. How did things turn out for you eventually?

Please tell me if there is any survival kit to survive the layoff. I am a Product Manager and have been laid off yesterday. Since then I have been panicking and feeling anxiety all the time. I am trying to be calm and handle this with all my patience but I am failing into this. I feel lost, confused, and shattered. Even breathing feels like a task right now. I can sense my heart rate going fast. Is it normal to feel this way?
