Moved to Hyderabad recently.been part of 2 accidents

I was standing near Whitefield in my 4 wheeler around midnight, just away from the hustle bustle of the fast life, smoking a cigarette and had a beer 1 hour before the incident (beer can was present in the car) when a police Jeep stopped and asked me to come out. They checked my entire car (to find more illegal drugs 'read Marijuana') but didn't find anything. Started threatening me with the car seizure. When I asked them to do breath analyzer test as I was 100% sure of being in the permissible limit, they asked me to come to police station for the same after they issue me a challan. How can they issue a drink driving challan when I am not drunk and without a breath analyzer? And started threatening me with 25000 rs fine plus car being released in 6 months plus more than a lac of rupees in lawyer cost. (Ofcourse bullshitting me) They were doing the proper good cop bad cop tactic and I had to pay them 7k bribe just to get out of there. (Couldn't risk the whole court drama, couldn't afford time as I was roaming without the knowledge of my family and avoid anxiety to them and my car also has northern registration) But is this justified ? Can we not even smoke a cigarette in our vehicle in this godforsaken city ? Do we need to be mindful of the goons or the police ? Anyways, what is the best way to get out of such situations?

Not really sure if this is the right place to put this up but I wanted to take it out somewhere. I happened to be in a road rage recently. There was this Rapido/Uber biker who was driving rashly. I had seen him but didn’t bother and I was going my way. Suddenly, he overtook me from left and his handle hit on my bike handle. I shouted in panic and he was saying some random shit looking at me - You need to watch out, bro.. something like that. I was safe and don’t think even the bike had any damage but I lost my calm and wanted to kind of scold him for how he was riding. I followed him driving rashly again for about 500m and caught up and shouted at him saying - bhai shanti se chala or nahi chalana aata hai toh kyun chala rhe ho. And I realised I was about to head on hit an auto wala but braked on time. That auto wala started giving me hand gestures. He was right. I did drive rash. In the meanwhile, that biker guy went crazy. He got off his bike, took his helmet and signalled at hitting me. The auto wala was standing beside me and he asked what was happening. I said this guy hit my bike and tried to run away. The biker was speaking some rubbish something like - I warned you there also bro.. I went a little numb and didn’t figure what was happening. This guy hit me with his hand on my helmet. I didn’t get hurt but felt the blow. I tried saying something but nothing came out. He hit me again the same way. The auto wala tried to stop him. He kept abusing and then left. I was numb for a few mins. Left from there and reached home safe. I am just not able to get these thoughts off my head. The incident keeps flashing. I feel lucky to not have removed my helmet, tried to hit him back because I don’t know what that could have led to. It was clearly my mistake that I lost my calm and followed him in the first place knowing he was a rapido biker. I don’t know why I did that - may be work stress or may be some other trauma. I was on my way home after partying in Koramangala. I was slightly sloshed at this nightclub. My friends suggested that I should take an auto but I was feeling a little adventurous. So, I booked a Rapido Bike Taxi. This was the worst decision of my life. There were two policemen who had cordoned off the road and they asked us to stop. The guy driving the bike slowed down and then started to accelerate again to evade them. Motherf*ckers swung their lathi onto me and hit me so hard that I got the worst bruise I ever, all across my elbow. Cannot comprehend why the heck I was hit by a cop for no fault of my own. Inhuman. Tell me I am not alone with this.

What do you think about infrastructure of Banglore with thoughts of yesterday's incident ? Is it good or too bad Or just underpass should get closed ?

I was at a friends place and it suddenly started raining heavily. I had to reach my girlfriends place ASAP. She was already very angry that I was not spending enough time with her. The problem was that I was not getting any auto on Uber or Rapido. I stopped an auto and asked it for a ride. He quoted Rs 800 for a 4km ride. I was like, "Are you crazy?" I somehow negotiated it down to Rs. 500. But it made me wonder why is this city like this. Like everyone is trying to scam you. Every one is a grifter, from your landlord to auto wallahs to the cops. Have you faced such things in this city?

Are there any good startups providing quick and life saving ambulance services? Yesterday I witnessed a scooty accident in front of me at 12am on Bannerghatta Road. The person sitting at the back was unconscious and bleeding profusely. So while people tried to help him, I called 102 but nobody picked up. Thank God another car came and we rushed this man to a hospital nearby on Bannerghatta road at 12am. Without this car's help, he would've died in a few minutes. Indian govt ambulance infrastructure is horrible. Are there any startups doing well in this space?

Came to Bangalore to join an in-office role, the org and role is good. But coming from Gurgaon, I was not able to like the city. Some cons: - Extremely poor infrastructure like a tier 2 city - Every govt official is corrupt, police can harass you anywhere - You neither feel homely nor is there any vibe of a cosmopolitan city. Local politics will not let this city become a cosmopolitan startup hub. Gurgaon is so so much better. - Everyone just wants to loot money, everything is expensive. Rent is high, landlord deducting 1 month extra rent, unnecessarily high security amount, cook and maid everything is so effin’ expensive - Alcohol is expensive. - Good food is expensive The value of money is lesser here as compared to the rest of the country. I have a flight tonight and I am so happy that it’s a one way flight. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but bangalore can be very lonely and it has been so for many of my friends. Particularly ease of life is much higher in NCR and that’s why a lot of people move back. Those who feel otherwise haven’t lived in NCR so Bangalore is more of just a bubble for them. Adios!

Damn, let me tell you how Ola has messed up the auto rickshaw industry! They came in acting all fancy, promising convenience and fair prices. But what do we get? Overcharging like crazy! Their surge pricing during peak hours is a complete rip-off. They take advantage of our desperation and squeeze every penny out of us. And who suffers the most? The hardworking folks who rely on auto rickshaws every day. But it doesn't stop there. Ola's profiteering tactics have destroyed the earning potential of auto rickshaw drivers. They used to have control over their fares and make a decent living. Now, Ola dictates the prices and leaves the drivers scraping for scraps. It's just not fair! They've disrupted the whole system, and not in a good way. The drivers are struggling, and we passengers are getting ripped off left and right. Ola, you've turned a once reliable and affordable mode of transportation into a nightmare. Shame on you!
