Camera on during interview.

P.S. Not GenZ, but relate to vibe as a concept I've interviewed with multiple companies, and I'm starting to notice a pattern. Interviewers who: - Have their cameras off - Show up in old t-shirts, looking like they haven't washed their face or combed their hair - Roll their eyes when the answer isn't what they wanted to hear - Fidget around when you are speaking - Look anywhere but at the camera - Give in to itches all over the body 👀 among many others If we as interviewees are expected to be presentable and excited, the least interviewers could do is put in a little effort to appear decent and engaged.

Appeared for anonline video interview with Apple recently. The 2 interviewers didn't even bother to turn on their cameras throughout the whole discussion. Had much respect for the firm but didn't expectrd this. Why do some people do this ? Do they think they are working in a company where many aspire to be and that gives them the freedom to behave like this ?

All of you here, if you are interviewing somebody, please have the courtesy to 1) Switch on the camera 2) Take the first 2-3 mins to introduce yourself and set up a calm environment. People would already be nervous and especially given people are unemployed, we are pressurized to crack it. Never please have the "I'm the interviewer" tone. What red flags or signs of 'incompatibility' have you faced in your interview campaigns I recently saw a case in a product interview where the interviewer said - X is your goal, why are you concerned about Y check metric. That's a nope in my book.
