You can, see what is the priority one round deadline for most of the universities. 6-7 months should be just enough. You should be ready with all exams , ielts as well within may. June should be your shortlisting and writing essays and sop's tailored for each university. June end you apply and wait. You might get an admit in aug end or Sep depends on the university. It takes almost 1-3 weeks for your financials for i 20. So by September end or oct you should be having your i 20 and should have filled for visa interview slots. Which you might get a slot in nov or dec. Will be very close to your university starting date. So get going.

Will the recession conditions will be alright around then? If any of your friends or relatives are working there or if you have any idea so please help me out I am a fresher, don't have a full time job right now doing internship will apply for only the top universities in US, I will get in most likely as per my profile. But is it recommendable to go in 2025 because people are not getting and jobs or internships there at all. Even from good colleges. Or should I stay here and prepare for GATE.

I’m a 2022 grad, hit by onboarding delay for 8 months after graduation (during those time I grinded leetcode approx ~400 questions, learnt spring boot ) Recently I joined one of the WITCH companies which I was offered in 2021. I was trained in Java but now they put me into Mainframe project dealing with COBOL programming and DB2 and I’ve never felt this underconfident and worthless in life. I’m planning for MS in CS in 2024. Does this work experience help in anyway? Is a switch needed before I apply to masters?

I’m a college grad from IIT in CSE. I haven’t done any competitive coding or any proper coding during my college days for that matter. I have lost confidence in myself for some reason. I had taken up a business job but left it in a few months because I thought I could do better. 
I want to do competitive coding but as soon as I open my laptop, anxiety kicks in.

Hi, I'm in India. I completed my bachelors in biotechnology and am in the first month of masters in genetic engineering. Initially I had no plan to join masters in India, instead I thought of pursuing MS abroad. As I could only apply for programs for September 2024, I thought a gap year would decrease my chances of getting into any program and would not look nice on my resume. As time went by, I panicked and got into genetic engineering masters. This is where I came to know it is a research-oriented program unlike biotechnology and must do a PhD afterwards. I don't even know what the career scope for genetic engineering might be. Now, I'm in a dilemma that I should continue my masters for two years and do a PhD abroad or do any internship for a year and get into masters in biotechnology abroad (specifically US) for September 2024 and directly go for an industry?! Any suggestions are welcome!

Confused about MS vs PhD

I wanted to pen down my story, as I have been feeling extremely low for the past two days. I work hard, but still don’t get the results that I deserve
Some background. Did engineering from a tier 3 college(this one’s on me, didn’t study hard in my 12th, hence completely my mistake). During college, I was motivated and determined to do good, and aspired for MS abroad in top university, so that I could get rid of the tier 3 tag(honestly, my undergrad college was so bad that mostly the localites of the city enrolled, and only for the purpose of getting a degree, even mass recruiters didn’t recruit from this campus). I worked hard in my first sem, and this college was affiliated to a state university. In the end sem exam, I was given horrible marks, completely careless checking, significantly reducing my GPA. I applied for reassessment but no change. Apart from that, I kept upskilling, learnt ML. In 4th sem, I was given a backlog(it got cleared when I applied for reassessment). Honestly I would always do well in class and internal exams, but somehow the external examiners always gave unfair marks and had to always apply for reassessment.
In 3rd year, I got an internship of 2 months, but had to cut it down to a month as college had attendance issues. In the final semester I got a 6 month internship at a very good startup, at a very good pay, but again, had to turn it down due to college attendance issues. During final year, wrote a research paper, initially it got rejected, but had to raise contention with the conference committee for unfair evaluation, and after reevaluation by other reviewers, got stellar reviews and paper was published( you see how unfair it is right). I also gave GRE, TOEFL and got decent score, got into 1 so so university but was rejected by 5 others. Didn’t go for it as it was not that great and it was COVID year.
After college concluded, it was COVID time. Continued in comments.

How do you keep yourself motivated, when things always go against you?
