Career Trajectory as a Customer Success Manager

I've been approached recently by a Series B company to lead their Customer Success team for a specific region. But honestly, I'm a bit uncertain about continuing in this industry. Currently, searching for alternative paths that could potentially be a better match for me. So, I thought I'd ask here to gather some perspectives from you all. Brownie points if you could help with alternative paths you think I could explore.

I was laid off on 7th Sep and my garden leave was till 29th Sep. I got average severance package and I was in panic situation for almost 2 weeks. I gave interviews for 12 targeted position (luckily got till last rounds for all positions and got total 5 offers. 2 offers felt like being exploited, employers were milking my layoff situation and offered 10%-15%. I took a call to reject them and explore further. Got 3 offers in first week of Jan, these were worth considering. Yes I did wait for 4 months to see such favourable offers. One with 15% hile and relocation, second with 60k Euro and move to Europe and third offer with 100% hike with remote. It was a no brainer and I closed on the one with Remote and 100% hike. Dont just rush to close on anything which comes first, assess the future and close on the decent or best one according to ur needs. For those who were laid-off recently and looking for opportunities I would say keep faith market is opening and positions are getting listed. You will get something good soon.

I am working as a Analyst/Software Engineer at a service based company. Tech stack is Powershell, PowerBI, FlexeraOne, SQL Server, SNOW etc. Apart from that, I have being actively involved in Data science, ML, Coding since college and have developed variety of skill sets in them and have written in resume also. So, I got it opportunity based on that only and hike is around more than 100%, Remote working. I believe I am less paid according to market, and this opportunity I got due to my volunteering as a Speaker, Community work in Tech etc I am afraid that I will be stuck in Customer facing role as Tech is not much involved here. Can you share your opinions please? Experience:- 2 years TC:- 4.95 LPA

Currently I’m in a 600 member saas company with 23L CTC (60% fixed) - Account Management role. The culture is great and the work was joyful until 3-4 months back. Now its not that joyful nor am I enthusiastic about the company’s future. I have an offer from a 200 member saas company who has grown rapidly even in such economic conditions. Getting an offer of 18 to 20L (90% fixed) - CSM role. What would you choose if you were in my place?

As the title suggests, I often wonder what is the natural progression for people who join startups in Chief of Staff or even Founder's office roles? Do they move to a specialized vertical internally? Or do they move to other startups in CoS roles? Or they do their own venture (I like to believe this is still less likely). Have this thought because a lot of Tier 1 MBA, MBB consultant profiles have been moving to these roles and it really makes me wonder what path would the careers of these top talents take?

Am i wrong if i check with Support or Customer success team if there are any defects due to which i see a decline in user activity in my SAAS tool since last 3 months. I was asked this question in an interview that what would be your first step if you need to figure out why there is a decline in user activity since last 3 months.
