Colleague’s are just interested in impressing CEO rather than building real product

Context? How about going in detail
1. They won’t try to build something which is being requested by users in reviews or which is necessary. If CEO sends any thought like this feature might be a little useful.. from product to engineering team everyone will work there ass off to deliver it in 2 days to impress him.
2. They will sit for hours with CEO discussing about how people used to travel without google maps 400 years ago. Just doing some random bakchodi but won’t even create PRDs or Database Diagrams.
3. Even if CEO is 100% wrong in some discussion they won’t correct him.. if some new joinee tries to correct CEO they won’t listen to that guy. Only when CEO comes up 2 days later saying this was wrong only then they will start working on it.

🍑 👅 culture at its peak.

This is a typical problem at most companies: They think they have a product culture, but it isn't. The CEO thinks (s)he knows it all, and the PMs think that if they question, it will offend the CEO and lead to their exit.
Exactly.. that’s the exact scenario right now.. sometimes they will admit this casually😂

Going by how they are faring in the social media realm, your claim looks real.
All that expansion related chest-thumping was nothing but a facade.
