Saw a non-technical PM crib on Grapevine about this. The thing is I’m not the nicest guy in the Universe because I’m the smartest. And being nice is something stupid people do to hedge their bets. You know, smart people get a chance to climb on top and take reality for a ride, but it'll never stop trying to throw you, and eventually it will. There's no other way off. And you take the chance. No respect for people who play a game of thrones. Masking behind powerful men, and hide in their shadow to get their bidding done. When a company has people problems bigger than the problem the company is trying to solve, you know what to do then...

I've been seeing a lotta posts where men are venting about not being able to find the right girl, so just wanted to know whether it's the same for women too

Here in Bangalore its hard to find a quality guy smh, (emphasis on quality). Dating apps are a dead end and even when you have organic “meet cutes” the men end up saying they want something casual and don't want to commit. 

How do you deal with this? Or rather, how do you distract yourself from these kinda feelings?

P.S:  don't come at me saying “its harder for men” - I'm sure it is lol I just want to know if there are women who also resonate with what I feel.

0. Try to have a call/video call before the first date. Always take their phone number/insta id before agreeing to meet, plenty of ghosters and shady folks these days.

1. Always try to meet outside for the first date. Don't go for drives. Those kinda dates almost never end up going well in the long run. Ask to meet halfway, don't go out of your way just to meet someone.

2. Don't meet someone with the expectation to start dating or getting married right away. Get to know them as friends first. Everything else later. 

3. Date for 2-3 months at least before committing to be exclusive, don't rush into things and keep your options open. 

4. Do not go for dates when you're feeling down or depressed. Meeting a stranger most likely won't help, it'll only distract temporarily.

5. Draw up a list of things you want and don't want in a partner. Should have at least 5-6 points on both sides. Pointless to date without knowing that much, but the list will also change with time. 

6. Keep an open mind, try to be empathetic, and have fun. Don't compromise just to please the other. Learn to take a stand and draw boundaries from the start.

7. Use protection always, no matter what. And also have some self defense prepared just in case (for all genders).

Having met hundreds of people through dating apps in the last decade, these are a few rules I formed for myself over time. Hope they help :)
