I am currently working as a security analyst working for a company that provides pentesting as a service to its clients. I am getting paid 17lpa fixed salary. I earn 80-90k from freelancing every month pre taxes.

So should I switch or not. It's been 3 years I am in this company and I can't see much growth now. I will be doing the same work. 

The work is full remote and the culture of company s also nice and workload is fine. 

What should I do?

Should I look for a product based company but most of them call onsite. I want remote work only that is mandatory.

Here is my background:-
1. Started Working as a full stack intern at a startup at 10K per month in April 2021. (Let's refer to this startup as A).
2. Joined A as FTE at 8LPA in Jan 2022.
3. Graduated in June 2022.
4. Salary got increased to 12LPA in July 2022.
5. The startup (A) was acquired in Feb 2023 by a big fintech and salary was increased to 18 LPA (14.4 Fixed, rest variable).

Considering my experience and salary, should I think about a company switch?

Honestly I do think that my learnings have become stagnant lately, I want to explore new tech which I am unable to do now.

What do you all think?

I will start with myself.
I worked on reverse engineered camera for Android devices, for 2 years, I did it because there was no camera for my phone with custom rom that used all the features of the hardware at the time I started the project,
It started with an insult on a noob question XDA. At the end of two years it had downloads over 10K. It got famous in related communities. I even got a phone from the OEM for further development. Made a lot of friends Indian as well as international.
It was fun for an year. After 2 years it become a game of cat and mouse. The manufacturer took steps to make my efforts to unlock features on older devices difficult. I lost motivation. Felt a lot like unpaid labour. Got tired about bug reports.
My bosses were aware of it.
Earned around 1.5L from donations and ad revenue.

Now I am trying indie game development.

Any side income earners here?

I am a Software Engineer living in a rented house in Bangalore. I don't have any property. I  want to start a side gig of selling printed T-Shirts in the USA. I think I have some good ideas on design and I think it can act as a good side income. I tried some online websites that offer such services, but soon I realised I need more. I need a TIN number, a business bank account, company registration and trade mark, filing taxes- not sure about us india tax compliance rules. 

I believe there will be a hell lot of other paper works that would be required. Now I just have some creative ideas that I want to give a try as a side hustle but thinking about setup I feel demotivated. I can bear the idea of what if the hustle fails, but I don't know what to do with trademark and business registration after the hustle fails, can I reuse it for some other kind of businesses? 

Has someone tried or thought of trying such side ventures? I don't want to leave my job and  do this.

Is there some subscription service available in India that helps setting up business where an individual like me can try his hand at various entrepreneurship and fail and fail fast and continue until succeeded ? Like, I would love it if all these heavy lifting of setting up business, auditing and taxes are taken care of by someone else and I just focus on the creative part.

How to start a Side Hustle in the US from India?

I have been working as a Salesforce developer for the past 4 years. I always wanted to have a side hustle and have a second Income.    I believe with that, you cannot think of earning as exploration into different roles results in being at the same level across roles.

Drop the western view of fun - Clubbing,partying,getting high/laid anyone can do. You don’t need any hard skills for it.  
  
 You have to change your perception of fun - I am a strong believer that 20s are for building your self. 
  
 Get Up Early - Explore your religion/spirituality - Work Hard - Don’t burn yourself out but ya the seeds you sow with hard work will pay on later in life.  
 Go Workout - Go for a Run- Go to the Gym it’s gonna help you live longer. 
  
 Eat healthy - Quit Smoking  
  
 Own Your life - Set Goals - Figure out your 2-5-10 Year Goals.  
  
 And When you have started this journey feel free to out with your friends create movie worthy stories and find the love of your life.

Been working for top product companies for 6+ years as a software developer and currently product manager.
Motivation earlier used to be learning etc but right now its mostly money where i am currently at.
There is no skill growth, just applying what i already know, days are busy which doesnt give me any time for other things ( upskilling, side projects)
Explored the market and have found freelancing role that lets me 
1. work remotely
2.Gives me opportunity to work on latest tech stack ( frustrated with not being able to code in my current job)
3. Lets me control my time as fixed hours are billed and you can commit hours ( might work only 20-30 hours a week and reclaim the rest)

Thinking of transitioning but not sure as we are fed to work in good product companies and look at service/freelancing in bad light.
I feel like most of what i needed to learn via my job in product management, i have learnt already and feel like not being able to code as much is making me outdated as a builder.

Tldr: good job that pays well but skills are not growing, another option is to turn to freelancing, earn 70% of what i currently earn but helps me upskill, gain control of my time and maybe experiment with side projects in remaining time

 Materialistic possession, fame, acceptance, s**, recognition. 
  
 Why did we make living so complex? 
  
 Because of the desire for more and more. There is absolutely no end to it. People want to bring resources to Earth by mining moon, Mars, and asteroids. 
  
 Life used to be so simple. Why are so tensed and worried all the time? 
  
 Because we became part of the system and lost view of the world beyond it. Anything out of the box is shot down by people within the system and we feel discouraged and remain in the system. 
  
 When will all this end ? 
  
 Never. It's sad and cruel, but it will never end.

I am currently interviewing at a big bank in Dubai(on site)for frontend role but haven’t had any technical rounds with live coding or hard questions on js/react. They will pay me good money. Good means double of what I will get in India and zero tax.

The only good thing is salary as of now.

Should I choose a job opportunity just for money

I am not the kind of person that is going to sit idle or while away my weekend hours.

I am hungry, hungry for work hungry for growth and hungry to hustle.

The problem is that apart from hunger I have no vision / set path on what I want to do.

I have dabbled around with various things, but have realised that I'd rather join someone else in their vision rather than set out on my own.

Unfortunately due to financial condition of family I cannot leave my day job.

So at least until I have the confidence that I'm doing well on the side hustle thing, I cannot afford to quit my main job.

I have full WFH so moonlighting is not really an issue for me.

So folks, does anyone have anything for me?
