Can I have a side hustle or freelance

Is working on your own startup while in MNC a moonlight case, will it lead to serious blow from your company. Wanted to know the opinion what happens when your manager finds out that you also run a startup. What are the possibile things you can do to avoid this ? Any recommendations by anyone . Or any things to be aware of ?

I'm a marketer with 4 years of experience working with startups, corporates across different industries. One thing I'm realizing is that having a single source of income is just not sustainable anymore. Also, I've been dreaming to go indie hacking or take the solopreneurship route for quite some time now. But the biggest barrier has been the commitments I've got at my job. If any of you have started a side hustle or are planning to start one, how are you balancing it with your day job? What are the challenges you faced/are facing and how have you overcome them? I’ve been wanting to build something on my own, I have built and hosted a few apps. But I couldn’t scale as much as I would have liked. I have contemplated on running a startup but I don’t have any trusted team member to support me. Building software apps is my passion. I want take benefit of my passion to make money. Is freelancing a good option to do so? Share your experiences, if any. Would love to hear ideas on how I can convert my passion of building apps (both web app & mobile app) to make money. PS: I am at a full time job and I’m looking for a side hustle.

I have full stack development experience and I still code. I work with a product company on healthcare domain. I want to build something solo as a side hustle. And with the tech knowledge I have acquired, I am 100% confident I can build it. I’ve already gathered some mobile app/platform ideas and have been working on a few of them. Doing some research as well. The thing I lack is a strategy and direction to reach prospective users. I have no idea about how startups operate. I have never been into freelancing either. I know nothing about regulations and law. I have only a limited knowledge about investment. My short term plan is to finish building some MVP features of the apps and publish them to Playstore/AppStore. (I’m sorry, I do not wish to reveal the ideas now) How to reach users 0-1, 1-10 and 10-100? How should I plan financially? Isn’t it possible to go solo? I have someone in the US who has agreed to help me in coding. But he has only 2 years of experience. One advantage is he can give me US insights. I don’t want to induct more members as no one is ready for commitment. Or people just back out even after committing to it. Btw, I am not active on social media. My network in the internet world with people isn’t great. I’m seeking advice from you guys on areas that I need to consider to make my app/platform grow. All this, is going to be side hustle.

Hi, I am a 2023 graduate and currently working in a product based startup in Indiranagar. When I came to Bangalore a few months ago, it was all fun and exciting. I still love my work (working in multiple tech stacks). But somehow life outside the work has become somewhat boring. I do go on bike ride trips but again can't go every weekend. I play badminton and cricket sometimes but still feel bored sometimes. I don't go to clubs as I don't drink and smoke. Would love if you folks can suggest something?

Hello, I started working as SDE at a regular tech firm a few months back. Prior to that I wanted to get into freelancing, even did a few projects. In the offer letter it's clearly stated that "shouldn't have any other interest in business" and talking around looks like they probably don't want us to have any other sources of income. I feel confident in few skills that I can more on side, (not greedy need more financial stability) My Questions [1] Freelance platforms (fiver, upwork, etc) ask for pan, is it okay if I give my friends/family pan ? [2] Should I register for a LLP on their name, use that pan everywhere and run the business myself ? [3] Is it good idea to run it under an alias ? Any advice / insight / experience would be highly appreciated 🙏
