I was a high flyer. Extremely proud of the work i did.

Personal shit happened. Financial pressure took it’s toll.

Touchwood, due to god’s grace and mentors in early stages of career, I am placed well professionally.

But the zeal, the energy is just gone. I feel hollow.

The emotions are a sine wave, I get excited but lose all the charm in a matter of hours.

Was nominated for 30u30 twice being a non founder, and had dreams of C-suite.

Now am just going through the motions and have started to slack at work as well.

Has anyone experienced this too? Would be helpful to know and chat!

I have been recently feeling very lost and confused in life. I do have a loving family and a stressful job and somehow i feel I am not at all happy from within. My job is shit and gives immense pressure. I have just entered my 30s and due to this sedentary lifestyle I have developed health issues such as pollen allergy, have gained weight :(  the way i used to look like probably 2 years back, i dont look like that now. Want to use this space to start a thread with people dealing with same situation and ways to cope up the stress and get this to a better track.

These days I'm kind of feeling lost. I know everyone on earth has some purpose in life and finding it is hard... I'm at a point where finding my purpose in life is a complete waste.. Every time i try to change my life style I feel I'm stuck in my past.. If it's a career I'm not in the place where I want to be.. If it's love/ relationship I'm not with that person cause things didn't work out.. Even though it's over and that person moved on and so did I but I'm still stuck in the past... I'm not sure why and how but yeah... Sometimes I do wonder what life yields me... What should I do? How to come to a conclusion and how to choose the right path and move on in my life? What is the right decision I need to make to stop feeling miserable? I would like your suggestions folks and tell me what you'rea feeling too...

I think this was our best chance to win it but we lost our chance. I also think we will not be able to win major ICC tournament in future by seeing current team status.

Need genuine help/advice on solving my knee ligament injury. Any experience/advice that someone can share would be helpful.

Some background - I used to play football semi- professionally until I tore my knee ligament 7-8 years back while playing. Couldn't even walk for almost 3-4 months and was heartbroken to be honest. 

The next 2-3 years was a period of pain and depression as I kept trying again and again to get back once in the game every 8-9 months after doing regular physiotherapy and all sorts of knee strengthening exercises but to no avail, everytime I did, my knee used to slip and the excruciating pain used to kick in. I've had fractures  before but goddamn the knee ligament pain is probably 3x worse.
I've contacted many doctors and orthopaedics and all of em' have given me no hope to help me provide  a permanent solution to this knee slip problem  that comes up when I even attempt to play the game. They've either recommended a surgery which they is risky as it might tear again when I play or they've recommended just physiotherapy but the latter approach hasn't worked for me.
I really wish to get back atleast in some form coz I miss the game so much.
I also swim and brisk walk to keep myself fit but nothing gives me the joy football used to give me.

Any folks who can help me out here or share their experience if any! Much appreciated 👍

I recently shifted from Noida to Hyd for my job, but since this is the first im residing far from home.. one thing Ive observed is weekends Boredom.. i mean yes i can grind hard that also i do… but still yrr im missing cricket here.. lets make a community.. if you’re in same boat as me .. please drop a comment,, plan is to play on weekends .. ground and all will sort once we get enough numbers,, my loc - near Amazon office

I am 23M working in a well renowned Fintech startup. Have got what I have dreamed of in college like high ownership, good pay and other similar things. But lately realized that I can't do these things for my majority of life. Although I enjoy my work but still feeling lonely and aimless.

Previous to September it was remote but now they have made it hybrid and I have to reallocate to Gurgaon and now I am feeling more lonely and aimless in life.

Have tried travelling and other stuffs inorder to find interest in life but nothing excites me.

What to do in life? Feeling aimless

How to find hobbies or anything that I like to do? I’m in Bengaluru, with a lot of free time. I don’t know what I like anymore. I frequently watch movies from theatre and that’s the only thing I do now

Out on a walk and the weather is all grey,
Saw a Gulmohar Tree blooming with beautiful red flowers.

Chose to sit down on a bench in the garden, 
While sipping some Rasna, saw some kids hurling stones towards a Mango Tree.

They were hoping to get some Mangoes, still green and waiting to ripen but that wouldn’t stop them.

And I wondered, our old social circle has now dispersed, some went abroad to study and others work in different cities. 

Some friends even live in the same city and you meet them for drinks or food sometimes.

But we seldom do anything outside of Food, Drinks and Music. Can’t think of anything outside of these three things that you and your friends do.

Maybe, I’ll take some initiative and explore more group sports. Because, I don’t want my weekends to be the same bar with the same food and the same music on loop for the rest of my youth.

What about you all? What do you guys do on the weekend outside of this?

Looking back I am glad that the plan of stopping with a single child didn’t workout as expected. I didn’t know that it would just double the happiness, both for us and our elder child.

Everyday starts to feel like the same and I am not able to get time for extra learning to enhance my knowledge and tech stack.
Also thinking of company change but most of them need 3-4 years exp to the data science team. 😭

Feeling losted

I have been a little caught up with numerous things in my life lately and have finally found some free time to open up myself to new experiences. 

I had a wishlist of shows and movies that I wanted to watch but as soon as I start watching them, I get bored and feel like turning it off. 

No, its not the content
No, its not the genre
No, its not the actors
No, its not the taste either

This is pretty ironic as considering the fact that I have spent a fair share of my youth chasing academics and career, my heart had always craved for life experiences. I had to let go of the woman I loved simply because I was too focussed on my JEE. I wont be able to forgive myself for that EVER. It almost felt like I had lost a limb, without which , I would be rendered disfunctional. Thats a separate story tho.

I have no clue where my life is headed

I understand that as we age, our triggers of happiness change. I have put concious efforts into knowing what those new triggers are. But I cant find any plausible sources of happiness.

I am performing pretty well with my career.
Even got a double digit hike.
But didnt feel that kick of joy.
