Feeling nothing after a good appraisal

So when i joined a product based company as SE(backend) in bengaluru back in 2019 my ctc was 8 .5 LPA( i know maybe less compare to peers back then), now after 4 years got the same amount collating all the bonus we get in current company (in pune) as monthly salary getting all proud feeling but at the same time gerting wired feeling as idk if valye of money has dropped or i was highly underpaid or maybe thats how the progression of payout is or maybe i am still behind should clock that much without a bonus.(which is half my monthly salary) do let me know if anyone has achieved this and what is your take on this?

I earn a decent living ~32LPA as a Software Engineer. I really enjoy my work and it is always a joy working with smart people around you. I sometimes wonder if I didn't exist would it matter in the world. At work, I come up with great ideas and insights which my peers appreciate and support, but there hasn't been one thing that they took seriously and moved ahead with. My peers around me constantly belittle me, some unprofessional jokes about my competence and intellect, even though I am actually good at what I do and more. The backhanded compliments and sarcastic replies in front of other people in my company makes me sad beyond belief. It is almost like I give so much of time to this company and although everyone cares about the work I do but no one cares about me. My colleagues constantly try to one-up themselves by bullying juniors and laughing in their glass-walled conference walls. Incidents like these make me want to give up on work. I think the mix of giving all of myself at work(intensity and long hours), constant berating on my competence and the time I spend away from my family and "real" friends(not these fake work colleagues) makes me depressed as fuck. I am now understanding that you can never be happy in life because you can never have all that you want. You will give up something for the other. You think making more money will make you happier but you will just end up losing your sanity.

Since we are seeing a lot of layoffs, a lot of companies are using this as an excuse to provide less increment this year. Interested to know what sort of increments are you’ll getting this year and how much did you get last year?

Took a pay cut of 10 percent after being laidoff, my peers are earning way more than me now where I struggled to get even interview calls earning in 70K my friends are in 6 digits My team consists of non mba while I am an MBA so feeling like a laggard now CTC - 10 lpa Exp - 1 yr MBA from UBS Chandigarh Please guys do suggest how to cope up with this

Hi, switched job 3 months back on ~50% hike (on paper). First couple of months felt okey as I was paid the joining bonus and notice period buyout. It was hard to understand what’s my actual in-hand per month salary and taxes are. Now with the third month salary I realised it’s nominal take home hike from my last job as I crossed 50 lacs taxable income and liable to pay surcharge too. On the other hand, I have been hiring for a level down and got better sense of internal comp play as management is okey making exceptions. I feel like I was low balled and deserve better. What are the options apart from starting to look out and switch.

First year of brand marketing job for an early series, well funded fintech startup. My previous (first) job had ₹45K (5.5LPA) in hand after a role upgrade, but for this job I had to move out of my city, use up all my emergency fund, have a LOT more expenses now and the in-hand came up to just ₹51K (6.5LPA + 1L bonus + esops) Had no leverage at the time of signing so didn't say anything. The real kicker? I was hired as part of a strat change that the founder pushed for, and my impact has been immediate and undeniable. Our metrics doubled within 6 months of me joining and we're a respected brand in our vertical. I am doing gigs on the side to start rebuilding my emergency fund coz salary se barely kuch bachta hai. I want a comp revision before the appraisal, but too nervous to ask for it. Could use some advice or just tell me if I'm being a dumbass for having these expectations

Alert: a rant post Today I saw my payslip after a long time and WTH! I don't know what they'll take once bonus comes in. Paying this much for no water, bad air, corrupt babus and all those douche things. As much as patriotic I am, this is just insane. On top of this add all the GST and sheet ton of other indirect taxes. Living in India and paying like Europe. Wow!
